I spy...

We had a big day today, touring all over campus. One of our field trips was a little more hair-raising than the rest. Can you tell what we saw?

Garage Sale...

I swiped these up for 50 cents from a garage sale. I love them.

I love the garden

Okay, I remain completely amazed each time something fruits in our garden. First it was asparagus, better than we've ever tasted. Then we had a small (thanks to our furry and feathered friends) collection of strawberries. Now it's zucchini...and this zucchini isn't joking.

One day we noticed some male blossoms and the next thing you know, there are gargantuan veggies! I used one tonight to make, well, what do you think?

Blog Help

Okay, I've had enough of the plain, boring, quite ugly blog of mine. Is there anyone out there willing to lend a hand to spruce it up a bit? I don't need things done for me, but someone to tell me how to add a background, sidebars, etc...I catch on very quickly (usually) and just need a little boost.

If something were Jing-ed, that would really help. I would oh so appreciate it.

Not Me! Monday

This is new...we'll try it out together.

Last night, I most certainly did not consider putting a sliced potato back into the water after it flung itself off the counter and went sliding across the floor. That's disgusting (or well, the saving grace was not that Codie came along and licked it up...).

And who would ever accidentally wash two loads of clothes with FABRIC SOFTENER, not realize it for days, shrug and figure oh well? Not me!

What kind of woman would ever get upset with her girlfriend for talking so 'certainly' about her upcoming pregnancy? It positively wouldn't be the still childless me.

Who would ever hope for a little bit of failure on the part of our town's "market president" because he has been so mean and rude to so many people? Not me...

What kind of elementary teacher would shudder at seeing Back-to-School ads in yesterday's paper? Not me. I certainly didn't run over to the calendar just to make sure there was still at least a month of nothingness. Yeesh, what kind of person does these things?

Not me...

Day Four, Annotated

Yes, it's late and I'm tired. We did do the majority of things on our list. We enjoyed pizza from Lombardi's, despite being stuck down in the basement and my white pizza needing salt (well, flavor in general). We then muddled our way to the Staten Island Ferry for an enjoyable-both views and weather-ride to and from Jersey.

By the time we did these things, it was already 9:30 ish. We headed back towards the hotel and stopped by an ice cream vendor--Van Leeuwen--, my mom's and my favorite from last year, for a small scoop. Penny enjoyed strawberry and Kathy and I enjoyed chocolate.

I did pick up a new book today that I am so far enjoying, A Little History of the World by E.H. Gombrich.

And now, it's time for my feet to say goodnight.
